October 25, 2008 Unity Breakfast
The
Unity Breakfast
is held in the 'off years' between conferences, at St. Mary's in
Shrewsbury. Our last breakfast in October of 2008 featured speaker,
singer/songwriter and author Jaymie Stuart Wolfe from St. Maria Goretti's in Lynnfield. Jaymie
spoke on "The Feminine Face of Holiness" and included several of her own
compositions. Jaymie will be presenting a workshop at the Gather Us In 2009 Conference
on November 7, 2009.

the 2008 Unity Breakfast, plus Jaymie's talk in its entirety.

Appearances in the Media
Periodically, women from the
Commission contribute stories to the Worcester Diocesan newspaper,
The Catholic Free Press
regarding women's issues, the Conference, and other stories. Mary
Donovan wrote a fine story entitled "Obama's Message is a Challenge"
which can be found on our
blog in the February 2009 archive. She also wrote a fine
article on Stewardship which you can see in the May
25, 2007 issue of the Catholic Free Press.
Susan Bailey and Marie Fusaro
Davis appeared on May 1, 2009 on CatholicTV's live program,
"This Is The Day" to promote the Gather Us In 2009 Conference.
You can watch it here, at the bottom
of the page. They will be appearing again in September -
stay tuned for details.
Several times a month we
feature articles and reflections in our
blog - be sure and
check it out.
